STATEN ISLAND HINDU TEMPLE  -  PREM PRAKASH MANDIR

SANDESH

" SATNAM SAKHI MAHA MANTRA "

Satnam Sakhi especially for us Prem Prakashis is a Maha Mantra.

We should be attentive. Refer “Prem Prakash Granth"   Page No. 3. Raag Bharav

"Say Satnam Sakhi"
”Say Satnam Sakhi"

In the above mentioned hymn the Founder of Prem Prakash Religious Society Archarya Satguru   Swami Teoonram Maharaj has written in his own words that ,the mantra Satnam Sakhi is not different from our Vedas and Puranas. It is not an ordinary mantra, but a significant one.

I have obtained this mantra by the grace of God, I have spread this mantra especially for the benefit of Prem Prakashis," For detailed information 'Prem Prakash Granth'  should be referred to.

In Satsang Jai Ram, Jai Krishna, Jai Shanker, Jai Durge, Jai Radhe, Jai Sitey, Jai Kasi Vishwanath are all sung in different tunes. The name of Rama is meditated upon in various ways. Chanting these names is not only good, but is sacred too, because the very purpose of Satsang is to lead the common man on to the path of Righteousness.

But the greeting "Satnam Sakhi" is of special significance to us Prem Prakashis. When we greet others with "Satnam Sahki" it is a clear indication that we are Prem Prakashis of Swami Teunram. That is whv it is the primary duty of Prem Prakashis that whenever we meet people we should greet them with Satnam Sakhi. Even in our ledgers, letters and Images we should write Satnam Sakhi and not any other mantra. By doing so we show how much faith we Prem Prakashis have in our Guru. How much reverence we have. If we Prem Prakashis use mantras other than Satnarn Sakhi or if we write any other mantras in our ledgers, letters or Images, then we are being very disrespectful to Swami Teoonram ji Maharaj. Such people in spite of being Prem Prakashis should not be considered as Prem Prakashis

When other people greet us with Satnam Sakhi and if we in spite of being Prem Prakashis greet others with a different mantra, then we are traitors of our Guru and there is no salvation for those who are traitors of their Guru. Therefore it is the primary duty of all Prem Prakashis to follow the principles of Sanatan (traditional) Dharam instituted by Swami Teoonram and not to change any o His established mantras.

We should try our level best to abide by these principles.

Om Shanti! Om Shanti!! Om Shanti!!!
